TRUSTEE OPPORTUNITIES, HAVENCARE HOMES AND SUPPORT, Plymouth

“Havencare Plymouth” was formed in 1987 to enable people with a learning disability to move from long-stay institutions (hospital wards) to something much better. Back then, “something better” was often a residential service in the community nearer to their original home and families.

Fast-forward to today… we are Havencare Homes and Support, supporting people in their own homes with their own tenancies, from Penzance in Cornwall to Teignmouth in Devon. Our charity is continuing to grow and reach more people across the South West.  We support people to live the life they choose and find a home that’s right for them. 

We have an annual income of c£10m, 260 staff and an exciting vision for the future.  We are now looking for two new Trustees to join our committed and enthusiastic Board to support the charity to deliver our next chapter.  We are particularly interested in speaking to people who can bring experience/expertise in the areas of social housing, strategic HR/people leadership, law, or marketing/communications.
