The aim of the Citizens Advice movement is to give people the knowledge and confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem.  The dedicated team of 70 staff and volunteers at Citizens Advice East Devon provide free, confidential and impartial advice to the 140,000 residents of East Devon.

The Charity is currently seeking a new Chair to lead the Board and support the CEO, the staff and volunteer team to continue to deliver their essential and important work.   They will be navigating the challenges of possible Local Government restructuring, sustaining funding and meeting an increased need for their services.  You would be joining a professional and experienced group of Trustees who are committed to ensuring they can make a difference to as many people as possible.

We are looking for an experienced Trustee who can demonstrate effective chairing skills and can represent the Charity with professionalism and integrity.

You will be passionate about social justice and our work, share our values, and lead by example. You will be able to support the trustee board and Leadership Team with financial management, income generation, and supporting workforce development, while promoting the continued growth of an inclusive team culture and developing a trusted community service.

We recognise the positive value of diversity, promote equality and inclusion and challenge discrimination. We welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.
