We’re looking for a new Chair of Trustees to join the Board of Air Ambulances UK (AAUK) – the national charity focused on championing and supporting the lifesaving work of the UK’s 21 air ambulance charities. This young charity has been through a forming stage over the last three years and we are now looking forward to building on our achievements and an exciting future. This is an excellent time to be joining us as we continue to deliver our five-year strategic plan ‘Saving More Lives Together 2021-2025′.
Our new Chair will be able to demonstrate experience of effectively chairing meetings, encouraging scrutiny and respectful challenge, ensuring everyone’s voice is heard and that the Board remains focussed and strategic. This is a high-profile role with a national charity, so we need someone with an engaging and inspiring communication style and who is able to represent us in a professional and confident manner. Naturally, a good understanding of charity trusteeship and governance is really important. Equally important is finding someone who shares our core values of Trust, Collaboration, Innovation, Excellence and Kindness.
We welcome applications from people who are not well represented at Board level, and although this role is not remunerated we pay all relevant and reasonable expenses associated with being a Trustee.
